Towering waterfalls, spectacular lookouts and lush rainforests - three good reasons why Springbrook National Park is so popular. Much of the best of what the park has to offer can be soaked up on the Warrie Circuit. When I visited in November 2014, the waterfalls were mostly dried up, some barely trickling. One year later, following an unusually wet Spring, it was a different story.

I also visited Best of All Lookout, which is a fairly apt name - on a clear day. For this trip, a more appropriate name might have been Best of All Whiteout. However, the low-hanging mist created perfect conditions for walking through the beautiful temperate rainforest, home to many fungi and the majestic antarctic beech.
