Photos from a climb of Mount Barney on 17th April 2016 (ascent via South-East Ridge, descent via Egan Creek).
Took a little over 3 h up to east peak and another 5.5 h back down, plus a bit of time up on top. Didn't come across many other walkers, except on the way to the saddle from the east peak. Had no trouble with any of the SE ridge rocky steps this time as it was quite dry. Egan Creek was quite pretty, particularly high up, and clearly gets far fewer visitors. Not too much water around so wasn't too tricky to bypass the waterfalls; the slow progress mostly due to vines and other dense scunge that crowded the creek bed.
