Morelia Track, Greene's Falls and Rainforest Circuit

Location: D'Aguilar National Park, SEQ
Date: 16th March, 2014
Distance: 6 km (Morelia Track), 5 km (Greene's Falls/Rainforest Circuit)
Time: 3 h (1 h 30 min each track)

This was the first time for both me and dad on the Morelia Track, which ascends through rainforest before joining a service trail prior to Mount Nebo lookout. It's pretty average as far as lookouts go (you can see out to Moreton Island) but the walk was nice.

I don't remember walking the Rainforest Circuit before (although dad says I must have done it when I was a young 'un), which is a pity cos the scenery is pretty kickass. Even if the track was full of people.

We also encountered several non-pademelon animals on the walk to the falls (but no actual pademelons, very strange). Not really sure if you can call it a waterfall without water though. Didn't seem worth the trouble to scramble down to the base so we left it at that. There's a nice spot at the top of the waterfall where we chilled out until two girls showed up to do a photo shoot on a nearby fallen tree trunk, a sign that it was time for us to go home.
