Glass House Mountains, the classic view from Mt Beerburrum

Inspired by my recent trip to the Glass House Mountains, I set out this morning to conquer two more peaks. My first target was Mt Beerburrum, lying just south of mighty Mt Tibrogargan, with a paved track all the way from the carpark to the summit. This walk is just cruel: despite being paved and only 700 m long, it's punishingly steep, so what seems to be a short walk quickly turns into a serious workout.

It's much steeper than it looks... seriously

There's a fire tower on the summit and you can climb up to the first level to get an amazing view northwards towards several of the other Glass House Mountains.

My next target for the day was Mt Tibberoowuccum.
