Description:
From the visitor's centre, the track first passes a number of lookouts and overhanging caves, the most impressive being Kweebani Cave. Interpretive signs explain the aboriginal historical significance of the area, and warn walkers not to linger under the caves where rock falls are possible. After passing the caves area, the track winds uphill through rainforest to a clearing near the campground.
Several options are possible for completing the circuit. The winding bitumen Binna Burra Road can be used, although this is frequented by cars so it may be preferred to return by the same track. Alternatively, the Lower Bellbird Circuit can be combined to make an excellent half day walk and return to the start (13.6 km return).
Caves Circuit can be done year round, but can be hot and exposed in the early afternoon.
