Our first hike in the Blue Mountains! The Fairfax Heritage Track is a short, paved walk leading from the Visitors Centre at Blackheath to Govetts Leap Lookout. It winds gently downhill past a series of glens and groves containing several representative plant species of the blue mountains.
For some, the very thought of exercise is enough to induce spontaneous napping |
Emily, my amateur botanist tour guide, seemed to know the names and families of every plant here |
View from George Phillips Lookout... just as spectacular as Govetts Leap but without the hordes of people |
